Iron Ore and Limestone Trade Up in July
U.S Great Lakes limestone trade was also up in July. According to the LCA, U.S. limestone shipments increased to 3.1 million tons in July, an 8.7% increase compared to one year ago. Trade was also above July’s 5-year average by 3.2%.
As of the end of July, U.S. limestone trade on the Great Lakes stood at 10.1 million tons, a decrease of 3% compared to 2025 and 4.2% below the month’s 5-year average.
