Revised Ship Inspection Fees for 2026 Navigation Season
There will be a 2.5% increase of ship inspection fees for the upcoming 2026 navigation season.
Fees will be as follows:
Inland/ocean ship inspection inside the normal area:
- During normal working hours (weekdays 0815 to 1630 hours): no charge
- Outside normal working hours:
o First visit – $1,025
o Subsequent visit(s) – $512.50
- Review of ship self-inspection form: no charge
Inland/ocean ship inspection outside the normal area:
- Per day (including travel time): $1,230
- All expenses (travel, meals and overtime, if applicable): at cost
Normal areas are defined as follows:
- Welland Canal between CIP15 and CIP 16
- MLO Section from St. Lambert Lock to Iroquois Lock and within the confines of the Port of Montreal
