LNG Dual Fuel Bitumen Tanker Joins McAsphalt

McAsphalt Marine Transportation Ltd. has welcomed the McAsphalt Advantage to its fleet. Powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the vessel has an overall length of 459.3 feet, a beam of 77.92 feet and a fully loaded draft of 21.33 feet. 

McAsphalt Advantage was designed by FKAB Marine Design and built by Wuhu Shipyard in China. The vessel will support the company’s asphalt trades in the Great Lakes region.  

According to McAsphalt’s website, the new vessel will support the company’s commitment to safety and sustainability through carbon reduction.
