The 2025 shipping season officially kicked off at the Port of Green Bay with the arrival of the Innovation with tug Samuel De Champlain on Wednesday, March 12. The Innovation, carrying a shipment of cement, arrived at 1:49 p.m., winning the First Ship Contest at the port.

“This year’s shipping season is now underway just two days later than last year’s start,” said Dean Haen, director of the Port of Green Bay. “This makes for an early start and has us looking forward to what our new season will bring.”
